ABOUT ME
Currently enrolled in Southern Connecticut State University's School of Graduate and Professional Studies as a candidate for the MS in Sport and Entertainment Management.
Graduated from St. John's University, BS with a Sports Management major
and a Business Administration minor, 2015-2019, cum laude
I am the consummate team player.
Until I graduated from college, I spent my whole life on a baseball diamond. Since then, I have become an avid cyclist. When a team, be it a baseball team or a peloton, is functioning as a unit, respecting and meeting the demands of the game, and I get to play a leadership role toward a win; sometimes it feels like there's nothing better in the world.
Being an NCAA Division I athlete is demanding. It takes extraordinary discipline to meet the requirements of the rigorous schedule. Essential skills for success include obedience, independence and collaboration, excellent planning habits, proactive communication skills with coaches and professors, and never procrastinating. College baseball has taken me all over the country, from San Diego, CA to Madison, WI, from Tallahassee, FL to Omaha, NE, and everywhere in between. It has been both a privilege and a responsibility.
I am eager to apply the skills I learned, both in and out of the classroom, into my professional life.

SELECTED ADVENTURES
"What is the recipe for successful achievement?
To my mind there are just four essential ingredients:
Choose a career you love, give it the best there is in you,
seize your opportunities, and be a member of the team."
—Benjamin Franklin Fairless
Saint John's Baseball
2015-2019
Being coached by Ed Blankmeyer — the winningest coach in St. John’s baseball history — was an extraordinary privilege. Coach Blankmeyer not only respects the game of baseball, but also respects his players. Through his program, I learned to be a better athlete, a better student, and a better man. Competing at the Division 1 level with this team taught me so many lessons about life and about myself. I have forged a level of resolve and grit that has helped me persevere through myriad challenges and I know these traits will serve me well in the future.
Dominican Republic Mission Team
2010-2013
I have traveled to the La Romana region of the Dominican Republic four times. While there, our team build hurricane-proof houses for the displaced Haitians who live and work in the sugarcane work camps, called bateys, of that region. It is important and meaningful work that not only makes a big difference to the people we serve, but also expands the capacity for compassion of those who serve. When I was in high school, I was awarded a scholarship by the Wallingford Rotary Club to support my participation on the DRMT. Once I have finished college, I will definitely return to this work.
Madison Mallards Baseball
Summer of 2018
In the summer after my junior year of college, following St. John's Big East Championship win, I competed in the Northwoods League for the Madison Mallards. This league is incredibly popular and the Mallards often had more than 6,000 attendees at games, adding both pressure and a lot of fun to games.
Mystic Schooners Baseball
Summer of 2017
In the summer after my sophomore year of college, I returned to CT to play in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) for the Mystic Schooners. Once again, I was used as a closer. The special aspect of this experience was that many of my teammates were other players from CT that I used to play against in high school.
Westhampton Aviators Baseball
Summer of 2016
In the summer after my freshman year of college, I played in the Hampton's Colleagiate Baseball League for the Westhampton Aviators. While I am used as a middle reliever for St. John's, my time with the Aviators was the first time I was ever used as a closer, and I really liked it. Our team went on to win the league championship that season.
Travel Baseball
2012-2015
In addition to playing varsity baseball and basketball for my high school, I played travel baseball for The Grind, a travel program out of Orange, CT run by former minor leaguer Mike Moras. Even though I am soon to finish college, I leave this story in my portfolio because this was a transformational relationship for me. If you are ever lucky enough to be taught or coached by someone who has infinite belief in you, it is transformational. That is what Mike did for me. It made me work harder and set higher goals. If I am ever lucky enough to coach, his example is one I will take with me.
